In this presentation, teams/groups will be introduced to the ways in which mental imagery can be used to improve performance, assist in injury recovery, and learn new skills. During a one-topic presentation, participants will be able to develop imagery scripts for their specific sport situations.
How to Build and Maintain Confidence
In this presentation, teams/groups will learn how to effectively control a major component of confidence. In addition, participants will be taught the importance of positive self-talk and, more important, how to change/control their negative self-talk. During a one-topic presentation, the team/group will be trained on how to incorporate self-talk it into their everyday performances and practice.
How to Cope with Pressure and Performance Anxiety
This presentation will educate teams/groups about different aspects performance anxiety, such as how to recognize anxiety, how to prevent it from spiraling out of control or affecting their performance, and how to cope with it should it arise. During a one-topic presentation, team/group members can discuss, in depth, their current situations and gain more knowledge about how they can cope with this issue on an individual level.
How to Find Your Optimal Performance 'Zone'
This presentation will teach teams/groups about the effects of emotions on performance. During a one-topic presentation, athletes are taught how to understand and identify their own 'zone' of optimal functioning" and they will learn techniques that will help them find their 'zone' during competitions.
How to Achieve and Maintain Focus
In this presentation, teams/groups will be introduced to the importance of attentional focus during performance. During a one-topic presentation, the team/group will learn about how to understand attention and will learn techniques to control and regain their focus when they find themselves distracted during competition.
How to Develop Pre-performance Routines
In this presentation teams/groups will learn the importance of pre-performance routines for increasing their confidence, concentration, anxiety control, and consistency. During the one-topic presentation, participants will have the opportunity to develop their own pre-performance routine that they can implement during practice and competitions.

How to Find and Set Common Team Goals
In this presentation, teams/groups will learn the importance of setting common team goals. The team/group, along with the coach/leader, will discuss and determine a common goal for the season and process goals will be developed to help them achieve their common goal. In addition, coaches/leaders can be shown different methods for setting and evaluating their player/team goals.
Commitment
In this presentation, teams/groups will learn about the importance of commitment - especially when faced with obstacles and adversity. We will discuss the factors that go into commitment, analyze your player's commitment levels, and discuss group/team and individual accountability. In addition, the coaches/leaders will be given strategies to help improve their team commitment.
Complementary Roles
In this presentation, teams/groups will learn the importance of role acceptance. We will discuss how selfish play can get in the way of achieving the team/group goals and discuss the important role each individual serves on the team. In addition, coaches/leaders will be given strategies on how they can get each individual to accept their role on the team.
Communication
In this presentation, teams/groups will learn the importance of effective communication. We will discuss the team/group's communication style and will discuss the importance of honest, open communication both during and outside of competition. We will also discuss the various ways to send and receive messages to address conflict.
Constructive Conflict
This presentation will allow the team/group to discuss the ways in which they handle conflict within the team. In addition, we will discuss how conflict can strengthen a team, the five conflict styles, and how to ensure conflict is managed so it does not interfere with the group/team overall mission and goal. In addition, coaches/leaders will be given tips for dealing with and resolving conflict.
Cohesion
This presentation will allow the team to discuss their current team cohesion/unity. We will discuss the benefits of team cohesion and the various factors that influence team unity. The team/group will discuss ways they can enhance their team bond to strengthen their competitive performance. In addition, coaches and leaders will be given strategies and team building exercises for creating and maintaining team cohesion.
